Kaffgum is a sugarfree caffeinated chewing gum made in Chennai. Every piece carries caffeine, L-Theanine, L-Tyrosine and vitamins B6, B12 and Niacin over a hard-panned sugarfree shell, in two flavours, ten pieces to a tin. Per-piece amounts are deliberately not published while the formulation is in development — the final figures go on the pack, and the answers below explain why we would rather say nothing than publish a number we have to retract.

How much caffeine is in one piece?

Is it sugarfree?

Yes. The shell is hard-panned and polished over a sugarfree base. Zero grams of sugar.

Is Kaffgum vegetarian?

Yes — and vegan. Both flavours are sugarfree and contain no animal-derived ingredient, including the Iced Latte, whose milk-and-coffee character comes from flavouring rather than dairy.

Is Kaffgum vegan?

Yes. Both flavours are vegan and sugarfree, including the Iced Latte, whose milk-and-coffee character comes from flavouring rather than dairy.

Where is Kaffgum made?

Does Kaffgum contain taurine or guarana?

Is Kaffgum a food or a supplement?

It is a chewing gum, sold as a food product under Indian food law. It is not a medicine, it treats nothing, and it should not be used as one. What it is functionally is a measured way to take caffeine that does not require a cup.

Is Kaffgum candy?

No. It is sugarfree, it is an 18-plus product, and it is not designed to be eaten for pleasure or handed to a child. It happens to taste good; that is not what it is for.

What flavours does Kaffgum come in?

Which Kaffgum flavour should I try first?

Does Kaffgum melt in your pocket?

No. The pellet is hard-panned and dry-coated specifically so it will not stick or melt — which matters in an Indian summer, in a bag, in a gym kit or in a car door. It was designed for a pocket, not a fridge.

Who makes Kaffgum?

Kaffgum is an independent Indian brand founded by Kartik Yadav, made in Chennai and built for the Indian market first. It is not an imported product relabelled for rupees, and not a white-label pulled off a catalogue.

Is Kaffgum an Indian brand?

Yes. Indian-founded, made in Chennai, and launching in India before anywhere else. The formulation, the pricing and the format were built for this market rather than adapted to it afterwards.

Is Kaffgum FSSAI approved?

Kaffgum is a food product made and sold under Indian food law, and it will carry its FSSAI licence number printed on the pack at launch. The licence is not yet issued, so there is no number to quote today — and a functional food brand that quotes one it does not have is worth walking away from.

Is Kaffgum a registered trademark?

Not yet. The application is in progress, so the name is used as an unregistered mark and written without a registered-trademark symbol. Claiming registration before the certificate is issued is an offence under the Trade Marks Act, 1999, which is why you will not see one on this site.

Why is it called Kaffgum?

Kaff for caffeine, gum for what it is. The name does the same job the product does — telling you exactly what you are getting without decoration.
