FAQ

Fair questions.

Everything people ask before their first chew.

How much caffeine is in one piece?

We are not publishing a figure while the formulation is still in development, because we would rather say nothing than publish a number we have to take back. What we can tell you is what goes in: caffeine, L-Theanine and vitamins, sugarfree. The final figure will be on the pack.

How fast does it work?

Sooner than caffeine you swallow, though we do not publish a time. Chewing releases it in your mouth, where part of it crosses the cheek lining directly rather than waiting on digestion. The amount that reaches you is no different. The timing is.

Is it sugarfree?

Yes. The shell is hard-panned and polished over a sugarfree base. Zero grams of sugar.

How long should I chew?

Chew steadily for at least five minutes to release the caffeine. Bin the piece whenever the flavour goes.

Who shouldn't chew Kaffgum?

Anyone under 18, pregnant, or sensitive to caffeine. If in doubt, ask your doctor.

What payment methods do you accept?

UPI, all major cards and netbanking via Razorpay. Payment is confirmed instantly and you'll get an email receipt.

When will my order ship?

Orders are packed within 24 hours. Free delivery on orders over ₹499.

Does caffeine gum actually work?

Yes. Published pharmacokinetic research on caffeinated gum finds caffeine reaching peak blood levels sooner than the same dose swallowed as a capsule. The total absorbed over time is comparable, so the advantage is how quickly it arrives rather than how much of it does.

Caffeine gum vs coffee — which is faster?

Gum, by a wide margin at the start. Chewing releases caffeine into your mouth, where part of it crosses the cheek lining straight into the bloodstream — buccal absorption — instead of waiting on digestion. Caffeine from gum reaches the bloodstream sooner than caffeine you swallow. Not more of it, and not a different amount. Sooner. Coffee wins on ritual and volume; gum wins when you need the effect now and have no way to make one.

How is it different from an energy drink?

Format, mostly. It is sugarfree, it fits in a pocket, and it needs no can, no fridge and no bin. You can also stop after one piece, which is harder once a can is open.

How many pieces can I chew in a day?

No more than three. For context, FSSAI and most health bodies treat 400 mg of caffeine a day as the ceiling for a healthy adult — and that ceiling counts every coffee, tea and cola you drink alongside it, so count them together. We are not publishing a per-piece figure while the formulation is in development; it will be printed on the pack.

Is chewing gum bad for my teeth?

Sugarfree gum is not. Kaffgum has zero grams of sugar, and chewing stimulates saliva, which helps neutralise acid. It is not a substitute for brushing.

Can I chew it before a workout?

That is one of the more common uses — it suits a warm-up better than a drink you have to finish in advance. Chew one piece about ten minutes before you start. Do not stack it with a pre-workout that already contains caffeine.

Is Kaffgum vegetarian?

Yes — and vegan. Both flavours are sugarfree and contain no animal-derived ingredient, including the Iced Latte, whose milk-and-coffee character comes from flavouring rather than dairy.

How much caffeine is safe to consume in a day?

Up to 400 mg a day is considered safe for most healthy adults. The US Food and Drug Administration and the European Food Safety Authority both landed on the same figure independently. That is roughly four standard cups of brewed coffee, and it is a total across everything — coffee, tea, cola, energy drinks, pre-workout and caffeinated gum all count against the same 400 mg. Pregnancy, some medications and heart conditions all lower it, and personal sensitivity varies enormously, so treat 400 mg as a population ceiling rather than a personal target.

How much caffeine is too much at once?

EFSA found single doses up to 200 mg — about two cups of coffee — are not associated with adverse effects in healthy adults. Above that, in one sitting, is where jitteriness, a raised heart rate and anxiety start showing up in the research. The daily ceiling and the single-dose ceiling are separate limits and you can breach one without breaching the other.

How much caffeine is in a cup of coffee?

About 95 mg in a standard 240 ml cup of brewed coffee. A single espresso shot is roughly 63 mg, instant coffee is nearer 60 mg, and black tea is around 47 mg. These vary a lot in practice — bean, roast, grind, brew time and cup size all move the number, and a large cafe filter coffee can carry well over 200 mg on its own.

How much caffeine is safe during pregnancy?

200 mg a day. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, EFSA and the NHS all converge on that figure, half the limit for other adults. Kaffgum is not for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding regardless of the number.

How much caffeine can a teenager have?

EFSA does not set an adult-style figure for under-18s; it uses body weight instead, at 3 mg per kilogram per day. For a 40 kg teenager that is 120 mg, well under half a large coffee. Kaffgum is an 18-plus product and we do not sell it to anyone younger.

What are the signs of too much caffeine?

Jitteriness, a racing or pounding heartbeat, anxiety, headache, an upset stomach and disrupted sleep. They tend to arrive in that order as the dose climbs. The fix is the obvious one: stop, wait it out, and drink water. Persistent palpitations or chest pain are a doctor's problem, not a caffeine-timing problem.

Does caffeine dehydrate you?

Not meaningfully at normal intakes. Caffeine is a mild diuretic, but the fluid in a coffee or tea more than offsets what it makes you pass, and regular consumers develop tolerance to the diuretic effect. Caffeinated drinks count toward daily fluid intake.

How long does caffeine take to work?

Swallowed caffeine takes roughly 30 to 60 minutes to reach peak blood levels, because it has to clear the stomach and be absorbed in the small intestine first. Caffeine absorbed through the lining of the mouth reaches the bloodstream sooner, which is the whole reason caffeinated gum exists as a format.

How long does caffeine stay in your system?

The half-life averages about 4 to 6 hours, so half of what you took is still circulating five hours later. Individual half-lives range from about 1.5 to 9.5 hours depending on genetics, liver enzymes, smoking, pregnancy and some medications — which is why two people can drink the same coffee and only one of them lies awake. Full clearance takes several half-lives, so an afternoon coffee can still be measurable at bedtime.

How many hours before bed should I stop drinking caffeine?

At least 8 hours, and sleep researchers often say 8 to 10. A randomised trial found 400 mg taken 6 hours before bed still cut total sleep by 41 minutes, and the people in it did not notice it had. Because you cannot feel the disruption is not evidence it did not happen.

Why does caffeine stop working for me?

Tolerance. Regular caffeine makes the brain add adenosine receptors to compensate, so the same dose buys less alertness than it used to and skipping it produces a deficit. A few days without resets a good deal of it, at the cost of a withdrawal headache in the meantime. Escalating the dose works for a while and then does not.

What is caffeine withdrawal?

Headache, fatigue, low mood, irritability and difficulty concentrating after stopping a regular caffeine habit. It typically begins 12 to 24 hours after the last dose, peaks over the first day or two, and resolves within about a week. Tapering rather than quitting outright takes most of the edge off it.

What is L-Theanine?

An amino acid found almost exclusively in tea leaves. It is the compound most often credited with why a cup of green tea feels different from a cup of coffee carrying similar caffeine — steadier, less sharp-edged.

What does L-Theanine do?

It increases alpha brain-wave activity, the pattern associated with being awake, relaxed and not agitated. In practice people take it for calm focus: present and attentive without the wired feeling. It is not a sedative and it is not a stimulant.

Why take L-Theanine with caffeine?

Because the pair does something neither does alone. Studies of the combination find better sustained attention and faster reaction time than caffeine on its own, alongside less of the jitteriness and anxiety caffeine can bring. Caffeine supplies the alertness; L-Theanine takes the edge off it. That pairing is the reason both are in Kaffgum rather than caffeine by itself.

What is the best ratio of L-Theanine to caffeine?

Most studies showing a benefit use between 1:1 and 2:1 L-Theanine to caffeine — so 100 to 200 mg of L-Theanine alongside 100 mg of caffeine. That is roughly the balance the two occur in naturally in good green tea. We are not publishing Kaffgum's own ratio while the formulation is in development.

Does L-Theanine make you sleepy?

No. It produces relaxed alertness rather than sedation, which is precisely why it pairs with caffeine instead of cancelling it. It does not cause drowsiness and it is not a sleep aid, though some people find it easier to wind down on.

Is L-Theanine safe?

It is widely used and well tolerated, with a long history of dietary exposure through tea. As with anything, people on medication or with a medical condition should ask a doctor first.

How does caffeine gum work?

Chewing releases caffeine from the gum base into your mouth, where part of it is absorbed straight through the buccal mucosa — the lining of your cheeks — into the bloodstream. That route skips the stomach and part of the first-pass metabolism a swallowed dose goes through, so it arrives sooner. The amount that reaches you is comparable. The timing is not.

Is caffeine gum better than coffee?

For speed, yes; for everything else it depends what you want. Gum starts working sooner, needs no water, no fridge and no bin, and stops at one piece. Coffee wins on ritual, on volume and on being a thing you can sit down with. They answer different questions.

Is caffeine gum safe?

It is as safe as the caffeine in it, which means the ordinary rules apply: count it toward the same 400 mg daily ceiling as everything else you drink, do not stack it on top of a pre-workout that already contains caffeine, and keep it away from anyone under 18, pregnant or caffeine-sensitive.

Does caffeine gum work on an empty stomach?

Yes, and it tends to sit better than coffee does. Part of the caffeine never enters the stomach at all, so the acidity and queasiness some people get from coffee first thing is less of a problem. Caffeine on an empty stomach still hits harder for anyone sensitive, whatever the format.

How long should you chew caffeine gum?

At least five minutes, chewing steadily. Caffeine is held in the gum base and only leaves it while you are actively chewing, so stopping early leaves some of it in the piece you throw away. Once the flavour goes, the useful part is out and the piece can be binned.

Can athletes use caffeine gum?

Caffeine is not on the WADA Prohibited List — it was removed in 2004 and sits on the Monitoring Programme instead — so it is not a banned substance in most competition. Individual federations can still set their own rules, so check yours. Caffeinated gum is a common format in endurance sport precisely because of the timing.

How is caffeine regulated in India?

FSSAI regulates it by category. A non-alcoholic beverage carrying more than 145 mg of caffeine per litre must be labelled a Caffeinated Beverage, the ceiling is 300 mg per litre, and the label has to carry a statement that it is not recommended for children, pregnant or lactating women, or people sensitive to caffeine. Kaffgum is made in India and sold under Indian food law, and the final per-piece figure will be printed on the pack.

What is Kaffgum?

Kaffgum is a sugarfree caffeinated chewing gum made in India. Every piece carries caffeine, L-Theanine, L-Tyrosine and vitamins B6, B12 and Niacin over a hard-panned sugarfree shell. Two flavours — Mint and Iced Latte — ten pieces to a tin. You chew it instead of brewing something.

What is in Kaffgum?

Caffeine, L-Theanine, L-Tyrosine, and vitamins B6, B12 and Niacin, over a sugarfree gum base. No sugar, no taurine, no guarana, no L-Arginine and no proprietary blend. Per-piece amounts are not published while the formulation is in development; the final figures go on the pack.

What is L-Tyrosine?

An amino acid found in ordinary protein foods — cheese, soy, meat, nuts. The body uses it as the raw material for dopamine, adrenaline and noradrenaline, the chemicals most closely tied to drive and alertness. It is the third active in Kaffgum, alongside caffeine and L-Theanine.

Why does Kaffgum contain L-Tyrosine?

Because caffeine borrows alertness and L-Tyrosine supplies a raw material for it. Research interest in L-Tyrosine centres on demanding conditions — sleep loss, stress, sustained mental load — where the body draws down the neurotransmitters it is a precursor to. It is in the formula for the same reason L-Theanine is: it does something caffeine alone does not.

Is L-Tyrosine safe?

It is a normal dietary amino acid, present in everyday protein foods, and is widely used and well tolerated. As with anything, if you are pregnant, on medication — particularly thyroid medication or MAOIs — or managing a health condition, ask a doctor before adding it deliberately.

Does Kaffgum contain L-Arginine?

No. The actives are caffeine, L-Theanine and L-Tyrosine, with vitamins B6, B12 and Niacin. There is no L-Arginine in it, and no taurine, guarana or added sugar either.

Is Kaffgum vegan?

Yes. Both flavours are vegan and sugarfree, including the Iced Latte, whose milk-and-coffee character comes from flavouring rather than dairy.

Where is Kaffgum made?

In Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It is an Indian brand made in India for the Indian market first, rather than an imported product with a rupee price attached to it.

Does Kaffgum contain taurine or guarana?

Neither. Caffeine, L-Theanine and L-Tyrosine are the actives, with B6, B12 and Niacin supporting them. The short list is deliberate — with three actives you can tell what is producing the effect, which you cannot with eight.

Is Kaffgum a food or a supplement?

It is a chewing gum, sold as a food product under Indian food law. It is not a medicine, it treats nothing, and it should not be used as one. What it is functionally is a measured way to take caffeine that does not require a cup.

Is Kaffgum candy?

No. It is sugarfree, it is an 18-plus product, and it is not designed to be eaten for pleasure or handed to a child. It happens to taste good; that is not what it is for.

What flavours does Kaffgum come in?

Two. Mint is sharp peppermint over the coffee base, finishing cold and dry. Iced Latte is chilled milk and slow-drip coffee softened with vanilla. Same formula in both — flavour is the only difference between them.

Which Kaffgum flavour should I try first?

Mint, for most people — it is the cleaner, sharper introduction. Iced Latte suits you better if you actually like coffee as a flavour and want the edge rounded off. Both tins are the same price, so it is a taste decision rather than a value one.

How many pieces of caffeine gum should I chew at once?

One. Chew a second only if you still want it half an hour later. Caffeine absorbed through the mouth arrives sooner than caffeine you swallow, so people routinely underestimate a single piece and take a second before the first has finished landing.

Can I chew two pieces of caffeine gum together?

You can, but there is rarely a reason to. Two pieces is two doses against the same 400 mg daily ceiling the FDA and EFSA both cite, and it removes the main advantage of the format — that you can add a second later instead of committing to everything at once.

How much caffeine should one person have in a day?

No more than 400 mg for a healthy adult, per both the US FDA and EFSA. That is a total across everything: coffee, tea, cola, energy drinks, pre-workout and caffeinated gum all count. It drops to 200 mg a day in pregnancy, and children go by body weight at 3 mg per kilogram.

How much caffeine can I have in one go?

EFSA puts single doses up to 200 mg — roughly two cups of coffee — as not associated with adverse effects in healthy adults. Above that in one sitting is where jitteriness, a raised heart rate and anxiety start appearing in the research. The daily ceiling and the single-dose ceiling are separate limits.

How many pieces of Kaffgum can I have in a day?

No more than three, and fewer if you are drinking coffee or tea alongside them. The limit that matters is the 400 mg daily total from the FDA and EFSA, which counts every source together — so the honest answer depends on what else you have had, not on the gum alone.

How do I prevent dental problems from drinking coffee?

Three things help most: drink it in one sitting rather than sipping for an hour, rinse with water afterwards, and wait about thirty minutes before brushing so you are not scrubbing acid-softened enamel. Swapping some of your coffee for sugarfree caffeinated gum also helps — chewing sugarfree gum stimulates saliva, which is what neutralises acid and clears staining compounds, so you get the caffeine without another acidic drink sitting on your teeth.

Does coffee stain your teeth?

Yes. Coffee contains tannins, which help pigment bind to enamel, and it is acidic enough to soften the surface that pigment binds to. Frequent sipping is worse than drinking it quickly. Sugarfree gum after a cup increases saliva flow, which helps clear both the acid and the pigment.

Is sugarfree gum good for your teeth?

It is generally considered helpful rather than harmful. Chewing stimulates saliva, and saliva is what neutralises acid, clears food debris and carries the minerals enamel repairs itself with. It is not a substitute for brushing, and the benefit depends on the gum being sugarfree — Kaffgum has zero grams of sugar.

Is caffeine gum good for studying?

It suits a study block well. Caffeine with L-Theanine is the pairing associated with sustained attention rather than scattered energy, and there is no mug on the desk to knock over or refill. Build in days off — tolerance creeps up quietly during an exam season.

Can I use caffeine gum before an exam?

Plenty of people do, and you can take it walking in rather than timing a coffee an hour ahead. One caution worth stating: exam day is a poor time to try a stimulant for the first time. Use it during revision first so you know how it sits with you.

Is caffeine gum good for long drives?

It suits driving — nothing to spill, no stop to make, no hand off the wheel. It is not a substitute for sleep. If you are fighting to stay awake rather than topping up alertness, the correct move is to pull over, and no product changes that.

Can caffeine gum help on night shifts?

It is a reasonable tool for one, mainly because you can time it. A single piece when you need the next stretch covered beats a large coffee at the start of a shift that has worn off by three in the morning. Keep the last one well clear of when you plan to sleep.

Is caffeine gum good for gaming?

The format helps as much as the caffeine — no drink beside the keyboard, nothing to knock over mid-match. The L-Theanine matters here too: sustained attention rather than a jittery spike is the difference between fast reactions and twitchy ones.

Can I use caffeine gum while travelling?

It travels better than any alternative. Dry-coated so it will not melt in a bag, pocket-sized, no liquid rules at security, and no dependence on finding decent coffee wherever you land. For long flights and long train journeys it is close to ideal.

Is caffeine gum good before the gym?

The timing is easier than most pre-workouts — you can chew it in the car park instead of dosing an hour ahead, and there is no scoop, shaker or 400 ml of sweetened liquid involved. Do not stack it on a pre-workout that already contains caffeine without adding the totals up first.

Can caffeine gum help with an afternoon slump?

That is one of the more common uses. A piece at two or three o clock covers the stretch where concentration usually goes. Watch the clock rather than the dose — caffeine has a four-to-six-hour half-life, so a late-afternoon piece can still be with you at bedtime.

Is caffeine gum good for meetings?

It is quietly good for them. Nothing to manage on the table, nothing to refill halfway through, and Mint leaves your breath clean — which coffee reliably does not.

Can caffeine gum help while commuting?

It suits a commute better than anything you have to hold. Chew on the metro or in traffic and arrive already sharp, rather than buying something at the station and waiting for it to work once you are at your desk.

Caffeine gum or energy drinks — which is better?

Different tools. A 250 ml Red Bull carries about 80 mg of caffeine and a large Monster around 160 mg, usually with sugar and always with the volume. Caffeinated gum is sugarfree, fits in a pocket, and stops when you stop chewing. If you want a cold drink, gum is not that.

Caffeine gum vs Red Bull?

Red Bull runs about 80 mg of caffeine in 250 ml, generally with sugar. Kaffgum is sugarfree, carries L-Theanine and L-Tyrosine alongside the caffeine, and is a pellet rather than a can — nothing to carry, nothing to finish before it goes warm.

Caffeine gum vs caffeine tablets?

Gum is faster and more controllable. Tablets take the digestive route and commonly start at 100 mg with no way to stop once swallowed; gum releases while you chew and can be spat out mid-dose. Tablets are cheaper per milligram, which is their real advantage.

Caffeine gum vs tea?

Tea is roughly 47 mg a cup and takes brewing time and digestion. Gum needs neither. Tea is also where L-Theanine naturally occurs — caffeinated gum with L-Theanine added is the same idea, concentrated and made portable.

Caffeine gum vs green tea?

Green tea runs about 28 mg of caffeine a cup, with L-Theanine occurring naturally alongside it — a gentle, pleasant combination. Kaffgum runs the same principle deliberately, with L-Tyrosine added and no brewing. Green tea is nicer to drink; the gum is more direct.

Caffeine gum vs matcha?

Matcha runs roughly 60 to 70 mg a serving with naturally occurring L-Theanine, and it is a genuinely good ritual. Caffeinated gum gives you the same pairing with no whisking, no bowl and nothing to wash up. Matcha is the better experience; gum is the better instrument.

Caffeine gum vs filter coffee?

South Indian filter coffee lands somewhere between 50 and 80 mg depending on the decoction and who made it — genuinely variable. A pellet does not vary. Filter coffee is the better drink; the gum is the more predictable dose.

Caffeine gum vs instant coffee?

Instant runs roughly 60 to 80 mg but needs hot water and then digestion. Gum needs neither and is absorbed partly through the mouth, so it arrives sooner. Instant is cheaper per serving, and that is its main advantage.

Caffeine gum vs cold brew?

Cold brew is usually a much larger dose — often 150 mg or more — in a bottle you have to carry and finish. Gum is one small pellet. If you want a long slow drink, cold brew; if you want the caffeine and nothing else, gum.

Caffeine gum vs pre-workout?

Pre-workouts commonly carry 150 to 300 mg of caffeine plus a long ingredient stack, mixed into liquid and taken well ahead. Gum is one pellet chewed in the car park. Far less preparation and far less stimulation — and do not take both without adding the caffeine totals together.

Is caffeine gum better than a nap?

No, and it is worth saying plainly. A twenty-minute nap addresses actual sleep pressure; caffeine only masks it. Use gum when you cannot nap — mid-drive, mid-shift, mid-lecture. When you can nap, nap.

Caffeine gum vs regular chewing gum?

Regular gum freshens breath. Caffeinated gum does that too, but its job is delivering caffeine through the lining of your mouth. The trade is that it is a functional adult product rather than something to chew idly through a film.

How much caffeine is in the caffeine gums sold in India?

Here are the makers' own published figures, as of September 2026. NeuroGum India states 40 mg of caffeine alongside 60 mg of L-Theanine. Gud Gum+ states 40 mg with 80 mg of L-Theanine. livNow Viva M states 60 mg with 40 mg of L-Theanine. Zenergy states 50 mg with vitamins B6 and B12. Those are label claims taken from each brand, not measurements anyone has independently verified, and formulations change — check the pack you are actually buying. Kaffgum is deliberately absent from that list: no figure is published while the formulation is in development, and it goes on the pack at launch.

How are "best caffeine gum in India" lists put together?

Mostly by algorithm, from Amazon India. The ranking sites that dominate this search say so in their own disclaimers — positions generated from automated analysis of customer reviews, ratings and popularity on marketplaces rather than from anyone chewing the products side by side. Two things follow, and both matter when you read one. A brand that does not sell on Amazon India cannot appear on those lists at all, however good it is, so an absence tells you about distribution and not about quality. And the order reflects review volume, which favours whoever has been selling longest.

Is caffeine gum better value than energy drinks?

Per serving, usually. Energy drinks run ₹100 to ₹150 a can; a Kaffgum tin is ₹199 list and ₹99 currently for ten pieces. You are also not paying to transport half a litre of water, or drinking 25 grams of sugar to get at the caffeine.

What does Kaffgum taste like?

Mint is sharp peppermint over the coffee base, finishing cold and dry. Iced Latte is chilled milk and slow-drip coffee softened with vanilla. Neither is sweet in the confectionery sense — the flavour is built clean rather than sugary, because it is sugarfree.

Does caffeine gum taste bitter?

Caffeine is inherently bitter, and both flavours are built to work with that rather than bury it under sugar. Mint runs cold and sharp over it; Iced Latte rounds it with vanilla. If you drink your coffee unsweetened you will find it familiar.

Does Kaffgum melt in your pocket?

No. The pellet is hard-panned and dry-coated specifically so it will not stick or melt — which matters in an Indian summer, in a bag, in a gym kit or in a car door. It was designed for a pocket, not a fridge.

Does caffeine gum freshen your breath?

Mint does the job properly, and both flavours benefit from being sugarfree and from the saliva chewing produces. It is the rare caffeine format that improves your breath rather than ruining it.

What happens if I swallow caffeine gum?

Nothing dramatic — swallowed gum passes through. You lose the point of the format though, because the caffeine is meant to be absorbed through the lining of your mouth while you chew. Swallow it early and you have taken a slow tablet instead.

Can I chew caffeine gum with braces?

Ask your orthodontist. Advice on gum and braces varies with the appliance and the practitioner, and that is a conversation with the person who fitted them rather than something to settle from a product page.

Can chewing gum cause jaw pain?

Chewing anything for long enough can aggravate the jaw joint, particularly if you have TMJ problems. You only need a few minutes per piece to release what it is carrying, so there is no reason to chew one for an hour. If your jaw aches, you are chewing too long.

How much does Kaffgum cost?

₹199 list, ₹99 currently, for a tin of ten pieces. Delivery is free on orders over ₹499.

How many pieces are in a tin of Kaffgum?

Ten. Two flavours are available, Mint and Iced Latte, each ten pieces to a tin at ₹199 list and ₹99 currently.

Where can I buy Kaffgum?

Direct from kaffgum.com. Kaffgum is pre-launch, so checkout is not open yet and nothing can be bought today — the catalogue and prices are real, the availability is not. Marketplace and quick-commerce listings come after the direct launch.

Is Kaffgum available on Amazon, Blinkit or Zepto?

Not yet. Kaffgum is pre-launch and will sell direct from kaffgum.com first; marketplaces and quick-commerce follow once the direct channel is running properly. Anyone offering it on those platforms today is not us.

Is delivery free on Kaffgum?

Free on orders over ₹499. Below that, standard charges apply and are shown at checkout before you commit.

When does Kaffgum charge my card?

When your order is packed and moving, not when you place it. If it does not ship, you are not charged.

How do I contact Kaffgum?

team@kaffgum.com. It is a real inbox read by a small team, and questions about ingredients, orders, stockists or wholesale all go to the same place.

How should I store Kaffgum?

Somewhere dry and out of direct sunlight. It needs no refrigeration and will not melt in a pocket — that is what the dry coating is for. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Who makes Kaffgum?

Kaffgum is an independent Indian brand founded by Kartik Yadav, made in Chennai and built for the Indian market first. It is not an imported product relabelled for rupees, and not a white-label pulled off a catalogue.

Is Kaffgum an Indian brand?

Yes. Indian-founded, made in Chennai, and launching in India before anywhere else. The formulation, the pricing and the format were built for this market rather than adapted to it afterwards.

Is Kaffgum FSSAI approved?

Kaffgum is a food product made and sold under Indian food law, and it will carry its FSSAI licence number printed on the pack at launch. The licence is not yet issued, so there is no number to quote today — and a functional food brand that quotes one it does not have is worth walking away from.

Is Kaffgum a registered trademark?

Not yet. The application is in progress, so the name is used as an unregistered mark and written without a registered-trademark symbol. Claiming registration before the certificate is issued is an offence under the Trade Marks Act, 1999, which is why you will not see one on this site.

Why is it called Kaffgum?

Kaff for caffeine, gum for what it is. The name does the same job the product does — telling you exactly what you are getting without decoration.

Will I build a tolerance to caffeine gum?

Yes, if you use it daily — that is how caffeine works in any format. Tolerance builds over days to weeks. A day or two off each week keeps a given dose doing what it used to, which is a better strategy than steadily chewing more.

Should I take breaks from caffeine?

It is worth it. Regular breaks keep the dose effective and stop the slow creep upward that most daily caffeine users never notice happening. A couple of days off a week resets most of the tolerance; expect a headache on the first one if you have been daily for a while.

Can caffeine gum replace sleep?

No, and any product implying otherwise is selling you a debt. Caffeine covers a stretch when sleep is not available — a shift, a drive, a deadline. If you are using it to replace sleep regularly, the caffeine is not the thing to fix.

Does caffeine gum break a fast?

Most people fasting for intermittent-fasting purposes treat sugarfree gum as acceptable — the pellet contributes very little and the base is not swallowed. Definitions vary. If you are fasting before a medical procedure or for religious observance, follow that guidance instead of this.

Is caffeine gum keto-friendly?

A sugarfree pellet contributes a negligible carbohydrate load and the base is not swallowed, so it fits comfortably within a ketogenic diet for most people. The exact figures are on the pack if you are counting closely.

Can I mix caffeine gum with alcohol?

It is not a good idea. Caffeine masks how intoxicated you feel without making you any less impaired, which is exactly the combination that leads people to misjudge themselves. If you have been drinking, do not use caffeine to feel capable of driving. You will not be.

Is caffeine gum safe for people with diabetes?

It contains zero grams of sugar, which is why people managing blood sugar often prefer it to a sweetened energy drink. Caffeine itself can affect insulin sensitivity in some people, so mention it to your doctor rather than assuming sugarfree means no effect at all.

Is caffeine gum safe around pets?

No — keep it away from them entirely. Caffeine is toxic to dogs and cats, and many sugarfree gums use xylitol, which is dangerously toxic to dogs in small amounts. If a pet swallows a piece, call a vet immediately rather than waiting for symptoms.

Can caffeine gum help a hangover?

It will make you feel more alert. It will not treat a hangover — that is dehydration, poor sleep and alcohol metabolism, and caffeine addresses none of them. Water, food and time do the actual work.

Does caffeine interact with medication?

Yes, with more than people expect — including some antibiotics, thyroid medication, certain antidepressants, stimulants prescribed for ADHD, and theophylline. If you take anything regularly, ask a doctor or pharmacist before adding a caffeine product. This is a real interaction category, not boilerplate.

How much does caffeine gum cost in India?

Between roughly ₹10 and ₹25 a piece, depending on the brand and the pack. Checked in September 2026: NeuroGum India lists nine gums at ₹220 and a thirty-piece box at ₹561; Gud Gum+ lists ten at ₹150; Kaffgum lists ten at ₹199, currently ₹99. Divide by the piece count before comparing anything — the headline pack price hides a two-and-a-half-fold spread, and the pack sizes are not the same.

What is the cheapest caffeine gum in India?

Kaffgum, at ₹99 a tin of ten, works out at ₹9.90 — the lowest of the brands selling in India as of September 2026. That is a launch price against a ₹199 list, and at list it works out at ₹19.90, which is above Gud Gum+ at ₹15.00 and below NeuroGum India's ₹24.44 for the nine-gum pack. Worth knowing which of those two numbers you are comparing against, and worth checking current prices yourself before you buy.

Is the cheapest caffeine gum the best value?

Not necessarily, and here the honest answer is that you cannot yet tell. Value means cost per milligram of caffeine, not cost per piece, and that calculation needs both numbers. NeuroGum and Gud Gum+ both publish 40 mg of caffeine, so theirs can be worked out. Kaffgum does not publish its figure while the formulation is in development, so a per-milligram comparison against it is not possible until the pack is printed. Compare on price by all means; just do not read a lower price as more caffeine for your money, because nobody can currently say that.

Kaffgum vs NeuroGum — what is the difference?

Price, origin and what each will tell you. NeuroGum is an American brand selling in India, publishes 40 mg of caffeine with 60 mg of L-Theanine, and lists nine gums at ₹220 — ₹24.44 apiece, or ₹18.70 in its thirty-piece box. Kaffgum is Indian, made in Chennai, lists ten at ₹199 and currently sells at ₹99 — ₹9.90 — and adds L-Tyrosine as a third active, but does not publish its own quantities yet. NeuroGum is the known quantity in the literal sense: you can read its label today. That is a real advantage and worth weighing. Figures checked September 2026.

Kaffgum vs Gud Gum — what is the difference?

Gud Gum+ is the closer comparison of the two. It is Indian, and lists ten pieces at ₹150. Its published figures are 40 mg of caffeine with 80 mg of L-Theanine. Its distinguishing idea is a plastic-free base made from natural chicle, which is a genuinely good one and not something Kaffgum matches. Kaffgum is ten pieces at ₹199 list, currently ₹99, carries L-Tyrosine alongside caffeine and L-Theanine, and does not publish quantities while the formulation is moving. If a plastic-free gum base is what you are shopping for, Gud Gum+ is the answer and Kaffgum is not. Figures checked September 2026.

Which caffeine gum is best in India?

It depends on what you are optimising for, and any brand that answers this question with its own name is not worth trusting on it. If you want a published label you can check today, NeuroGum India or Gud Gum+ — both state 40 mg of caffeine. If you want a plastic-free gum base, Gud Gum+. If you want the lowest price a piece right now, Kaffgum at ₹99 a tin of ten. If you want three actives rather than two, Kaffgum adds L-Tyrosine. We make one of these, so weigh that accordingly.

Why is Kaffgum cheaper than other caffeine gums?

Three reasons, and one of them is temporary. It is made in Chennai rather than imported, so there is no cross-border freight or import duty in the price. It sells direct rather than through a marketplace taking a cut. And ₹99 is a launch price against a ₹199 list — that gap closes eventually, at which point Kaffgum sits mid-market rather than cheapest. Nothing about the cost is explained by a smaller pack: it is ten pieces to a tin, one more than NeuroGum India's nine.

Which caffeine gum brands are sold in India?

More than most people expect. As of September 2026 the field includes NeuroGum India, Gud Gum+, livNow (Viva and Viva M), Zenergy, Supplenex, My Gum, YOURPLUG and Kaffgum, plus imported brands reaching India through marketplaces — First Energy and Run Gum among them. Almost all of them sell through Amazon India; Kaffgum is pre-launch and sells direct from kaffgum.com only. Availability moves quickly here, and imported listings in particular come and go, so check the seller before ordering.

Can I use caffeine gum with pre-workout?

Add the labels up first. Most pre-workouts already carry 150 to 300 mg of caffeine. Stacking gum on top of that is easy to do without noticing. Stacking is where people get into trouble, not the gum on its own.
